OUR COMMITMENT

What You Can Count On

Every teardown is handled by our own crew — we assess the structure on-site, disassemble it safely, and sort materials as we go.

You get a firm price before we start, based on an on-site assessment — no hidden fees added once the work begins.

Lumber and composite decking are sorted for recycling wherever possible, with hardware sent to scrap instead of the landfill.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Deck Removal FAQs

Do you tear down the deck or just haul away the debris?
Both. We do full teardown and removal — we disassemble the deck structure, break it down, load it, and haul it away. If you've already torn it down and just need the debris hauled, we do that too.
Do you handle decks attached to the house?
Yes. Attached decks, freestanding decks, and multi-level decks are all jobs we take on. We assess the structure on-site before quoting so there are no surprises.
Do I need a permit for deck removal?
In most cases, no permit is required to remove an existing deck. We recommend checking with your city if the deck is attached to a structure or if you're planning a replacement. We handle the teardown and removal only.
What do you do with the deck materials after removal?
Lumber and composite decking are separated for recycling where possible. Hardware and metal components go to scrap recycling. Non-recyclable material is disposed of responsibly.
Do you offer same-day deck removal?
Same-day scheduling is possible for smaller decks when you call before noon, subject to availability. Larger multi-level decks typically need a scheduled appointment to bring the right crew. We serve San Francisco and San Mateo County Mon–Sat 7AM–7PM.
Can you remove composite decking like Trex or TimberTech?
Yes, we remove all composite decking systems along with traditional wood decks. Composite materials are sorted separately for recycling where local facilities accept them.
